Deloitte Climate Week NYC: Municipal Planning
Capitola Media produced this short film for Deloitte Climate Week NYC, focused on municipal planning in Broward County, Florida. It is one of three distinct films we produced for the event, alongside separate pieces on ports and water.
Municipal Planning in Broward County
The film uses a digital planning environment, maps and infrastructure data to show Broward County as a connected regional system. Transportation, utilities, development and public infrastructure can be viewed together rather than as isolated projects, giving planners a clearer picture of how decisions in one area affect the larger network.
Making Planning Data Visual
The production turns a systems-level subject into a concise visual story. Maps, routes, interface imagery and motion graphics give the audience a direct way into the material without requiring a long technical explanation.
As part of Deloitte’s Climate Week NYC programming, the film was designed to communicate quickly in an event environment while retaining enough specificity to make the municipal-planning example credible and useful.
One Film in a Three-Part Climate Week Series
The municipal-planning film approaches resilience through regional data and decision-making. The companion Ports film looks at critical maritime infrastructure and global movement, while Water uses a more human-scale environmental perspective. Together, the three films gave Deloitte distinct visual approaches to related Climate Week themes.
