HP Networking Customer Story
HP Networking customer story featuring Product Marketing Manager Rebecca Humphress and a San Jose eye clinic, showing how small-business networking supports a real customer environment.
HP Networking Customer Story: Eye Clinic
Capitola Media produced this HP Networking customer story in San Jose, California, featuring Rebecca Humphress, Product Marketing Manager for HP Networking, and an eye clinic using HP networking technology in a real small-business environment.
Connecting Product Marketing With a Real Customer
The project pairs an HP product marketing perspective with a customer setting rather than relying on a standalone product demonstration. Humphress provides the business and technology context, while the eye clinic gives the networking story a concrete use case that viewers can immediately understand.
That structure is especially useful for small-business technology. Networking products can otherwise feel abstract, but placing them inside an operating clinic shows how infrastructure supports day-to-day work, connected devices and the flow of information behind the scenes.
HP Networking for Small Business
At the time, HP’s small-business networking efforts were built around making business technology easier to deploy and manage for organizations that did not have large internal IT departments. The broader Just Right IT offering brought together networking, servers, storage and services aimed at smaller companies that needed reliable infrastructure without enterprise-level complexity.
The eye clinic provided a practical setting for that message. Instead of talking only about specifications, the film could connect the technology to a workplace where dependable connectivity directly supports staff, systems and customer service.
Filmed in San Jose, California
We shot the project in San Jose, placing the customer story squarely in Silicon Valley while keeping the focus on an everyday business rather than a technology campus. The location gave the piece a credible working environment and allowed the production to combine interviews with supporting footage of the clinic in operation.
Interview lighting, sound and camera coverage were designed to keep the customer environment natural while still giving the piece the polish expected of an HP corporate production. The result balances product messaging with testimonial-style storytelling.
A Customer Story Built Around Use
The finished video is less about presenting a list of networking features than about showing how HP technology fits into a functioning small business. Humphress provides the product perspective; the clinic provides the proof point. Together, they turn a technical subject into a straightforward business story about infrastructure that works where it is needed.
