Corporate Interview Video for PwC and Surfaceink

Capitola Media produced corporate interview content for PwC featuring leaders from Surfaceink, a product design, development, and engineering company acquired by PwC. The interviews helped explain how Surfaceink’s technical capabilities could complement PwC’s broader consulting and business transformation services.

Rather than presenting the acquisition only through a formal announcement, the video placed experienced leaders at the center of the story. Their interviews connected product design, engineering, prototyping, software, and connected product development with the strategic and operational capabilities of a global professional services organization.

Communicating a Business Integration

An acquisition creates questions for clients, employees, and prospective customers. Existing clients may want to understand what will remain familiar, employees may need context for how the organizations will work together, and prospective clients may want a concise explanation of the combined offering.

Capitola Media’s corporate video production approach focused on organizing these ideas into a direct and credible narrative. The interviews addressed Surfaceink’s experience, the relationship between the two organizations, and the value of combining technical product development with PwC’s broader business capabilities.

Executive Interviews as the Primary Story

Executive and specialist interviews can give acquisition communications greater credibility than narration alone. Leaders who understand the work can explain why the organizations fit together, how the capabilities complement one another, and what the combination may mean for clients.

Capitola Media structured the production so that each participant could contribute a distinct part of the story. Our interview video production process considered the audience, central message, participant roles, question structure, filming environment, editorial priorities, and intended uses before recording began.

The objective was not to make every speaker sound identical. It was to identify the strongest perspective each person could bring to the final piece and combine those perspectives into one coherent narrative.

Explaining Product Design and Engineering

Surfaceink brought experience across product strategy, industrial design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, software, prototyping, testing, and connected physical products. These disciplines can be difficult to summarize because they span several stages of product development.

The interviews connected those capabilities to a broader client objective: moving from an initial idea through design, engineering, testing, production, and scale. Allowing specialists to describe the work in their own language preserved important technical detail while keeping the content accessible to business audiences.

Corporate Video for Consulting and Technology Audiences

The project needed to communicate with audiences familiar with professional services as well as those focused on engineering, product development, and innovation. Consulting clients may begin with questions about markets, customers, operations, or business transformation, while product teams may begin with technical requirements, hardware, software, manufacturing, or user experience.

The video created a bridge between those perspectives. Capitola Media’s technology video production experience supported an interview format that could address specialized capabilities without turning the content into a dense technical presentation. The finished piece was intended to remain relevant to executives, product leaders, engineers, innovation teams, operations specialists, and other decision makers evaluating the combined capabilities.

San Jose and San Francisco Bay Area Production

The interviews were filmed in San Jose, within the San Francisco Bay Area, where Surfaceink’s product development and engineering teams were based. Producing the project locally allowed Capitola Media to work within the company’s operating environment and create a visual connection between the participants, their technical expertise, and the region’s established technology community.

The location also supported efficient coordination with executives, specialists, facilities, and production resources across Silicon Valley and the broader Bay Area. Filming within the organization’s own environment helped the interviews feel connected to the people, work, and technical culture being discussed.

Presenting Combined Capabilities Through People

The strength of the project comes from allowing experienced leaders to explain the relationship between Surfaceink and PwC in direct and practical terms. Their interviews connect product development and engineering expertise with the scale, strategy, and business capabilities of a global professional services organization. By centering the story on the people doing the work, Capitola Media created corporate content that made the combined offering more understandable, credible, and relevant to clients.
