Capitola Media produced this live-action commercial for Intermedia around a fictional veterinary clinic. The scenario turns a cloud communications platform into a workplace story, showing how calls, messages and customer interactions affect the day-to-day flow of a service business.
A Fictional Veterinary Practice as the Setting
The veterinary clinic provides a familiar environment where communication matters immediately. Staff need to coordinate appointments, respond to pet owners, share information and keep the front desk moving while clinical work continues in the background. That makes the setting a useful way to dramatize the value of unified business communications without stopping the story for a technical explanation.
Intermedia’s platform brings together business phone, meetings, chat, email and customer interactions in one cloud-based system. The commercial translates that product category into a concrete workplace situation rather than presenting the platform as a list of features.
Live Action Built Around a Business Use Case
The project was conceived as live-action storytelling, with performers, a designed workplace environment and a fictional clinic scenario carrying the message. For our commercial video production work, that approach is especially useful when a software product needs to feel relevant to a specific type of customer.
The underlying goal was to explain a business capability through a recognizable operational challenge. The technology is present through what it enables, not simply through interface shots.
Connecting Technology to Customer Experience
A veterinary clinic is a good example of a business where communication quality affects both operations and customer experience. Missed calls, delayed messages or disconnected tools can create friction at exactly the moments when staff and clients need clarity.

A Second Intermedia Narrative Commercial
This project sits alongside our Intermedia skateboard-company commercial. Both use fictional businesses to make cloud communications visible, but the settings and tone are different. The skateboard piece leans into a creative workplace and graphic energy; the veterinary-clinic piece uses a service environment where responsiveness and coordination are central to the story.
