GoDaddy Pride in the Paint Community Video

Capitola Media produced community-focused video content for GoDaddy around its “Pride in the Paint” refurbishment of the FM Smith neighborhood basketball court. The project combined interviews with aerial drone footage to document both the people involved and the physical transformation of the court.

Rather than presenting the work as a conventional corporate announcement, the production used the location and community participants as the center of the story. The refurbished court provided a visible before-and-after result, while interviews gave the project a human voice and explained why the space mattered.

Interviews and Drone Coverage

The production combined ground-level storytelling with aerial imagery. Interviews captured direct perspectives from the people connected to the project, while drone videography established the court, surrounding neighborhood, and scale of the refurbishment from above.

That combination is useful for community projects because it connects individual experience with place. Capitola Media’s interview video production and drone video production capabilities allowed the finished piece to move between personal testimony and a broader visual view of the site.

A Brand Story Built Around a Public Space

The video gave GoDaddy a brand asset grounded in a specific community outcome rather than a generic statement about corporate values. The basketball court, participants, and completed refurbishment supplied concrete visual evidence for the story.

Capitola Media also produced a GoDaddy film featuring Ayesha Curry. The Day of Service film focuses on employee volunteers and the community refurbishment, with interviews and location footage connecting the people to the work.
